My back gate

Hi all,I know I said I was doing cleaning earlier,but the sun came out,so I thought it would be a great idea to hammerite my back gate.I had started doing it last october,but then we had gale force winds and rain so I had to stop.Do you think someone was trying to tell me something?
Anyway,so I started again today,its so bloody boring honestly,its one of those things that kinda looks easy,but when you get into it actually becomes fiddly and complicated,like marriage really.
I have two large gates at the end of the yard that open up,( not automatically Im not posh),for a car to drive through.Theyre those metal scrolly sort of thingamys and every sodding nook and cranny shows up if you miss a bit,theyre a whitish colour and Im painting em black,(of course you would Zoe !!)
Ho hum,so anyway I got about 2/3 of the way through one side,( yes you have to paint both bloody sides),and the sun naffed off,not a goodbye,au revior nuffing.I mean for crying out loud is it too much to ask in this bloody country to have more than one flaming hour of sunshine? So now my hands are so cold it feels like someone else is picking my nose.Which by the way is so cold it feels like its running when its not.
Honestly,now my gates look stupid.
And Im cold.
And Im fed up.
